Essential cookies
ContactYard uses first-party cookies and similar browser storage for authentication, secure sessions, request routing, security, and your cookie choice. These technologies are required for the site and account features to work.
During signup, a short-lived HttpOnly cookie may carry a server-hashed device signal used only to protect trial allocation. It is not used for login, authorization, or advertising.
If you arrive from a tagged link or another website, a first-party HttpOnly cookie may keep the campaign tags in the link, the website you came from, and the page you landed on for up to 30 days. It holds no identifier. We save it with your account when you sign up so we know which channel brought you, then remove it. Choosing Reject or sending a Global Privacy Control signal removes it and stops it being set.
Optional cookies
If you choose Accept, we may use PostHog for product analytics and error reporting, and Intercom for support chat. These tools may use cookies or local storage and receive information about your browser, pages, actions, and support conversation. We do not use these tools for advertising or cross-site behavioral advertising.
If you choose Reject, ContactYard does not enable optional analytics or support-chat cookies. Essential cookies still operate.
Cookie-free visit counting
Unless you have chosen Accept, we still count visits to our website without cookies. This applies before you choose, after you choose Reject, and when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. PostHog, our analytics provider, sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage for this. It receives the page you viewed, the website you came from (such as a search engine or a sign-in page), campaign tags in the link, the time, your approximate location, and basic browser and device details, and reports page errors and page speed. It combines your IP address, browser details, and a secret value that changes every day into a one-way code that tells visits apart. Because that value changes daily, the code cannot be linked across days, to your account, or to your email address.
We use this to see which pages and sources bring visitors, and to find and fix errors. It does not include clicks inside a page, session replays, or support chat, and it is not used for advertising. Your choice of Accept or Reject does not change whether this counting happens; Accept adds the optional cookies described above.
Your choice
The banner gives you two choices: Accept or Reject. We keep your choice in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time: Cookie settings reopens the banner, and the same link is in the footer of every page.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional cookies stay off for that browser, even if you chose Accept earlier. Cookie-free visit counting, described above, continues.
Third-party destinations
A hosted checkout or another third-party page reached from ContactYard may use its own cookies under its own notice. Those cookies are not controlled by this notice.
