Submit a request
Email privacy@contactyard.com with the request type, your name, country or state of residence, and enough information to locate the relevant record, such as the work email or professional profile URL connected to it. Do not send a passport, national ID, payment-card number, or other sensitive identity document with your first message.
You can also use the pre-addressed privacy request email.
Verification
We verify only what is reasonably necessary for the request. We may ask you to reply from the associated business email, confirm control of a professional profile, or provide limited additional information. If stronger proof is legally necessary, we will explain what is needed and provide a secure method. We will not use verification information for an unrelated purpose.
Timing and authorized agents
We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and respond within the period required by applicable law, generally 30 to 45 days. We may extend the period when permitted and will explain why. An authorized agent may submit a request, but we may require signed authorization and direct verification with the person concerned. Requests are normally free; a lawful fee may apply to manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repeated requests.
Suppression is not marketing consent management
A ContactYard suppression request stops ContactYard from making the matched record available going forward after it is processed. It does not automatically delete copies a customer previously exported or replace an unsubscribe request sent to that customer. We require customers to honor applicable opt-outs and will notify or assist them where the law requires.
Appeals and complaints
If we deny a request, reply with "Appeal" and explain why you believe the decision should change. You may also contact the privacy or data protection authority where you live. We do not discriminate against anyone for making a privacy request.
